Our Summer Day Camp Program offers flexible options for students in all age groups and a variety of exciting topics. With the exception of Pre-Children's House, you may choose to enroll for one, two, three, four, or five days per week for half or full days depending on your needs. This year, we are offering an additional Children's House classroom dedicated to Montessori materials and lessons. You may choose from four sessions each lasting two weeks (see below for details). All classes are held from 9:00am to Noon though care is available from 7:00am to 5:45pm. Should your plans change and you need to drop classes, you need to cancel by Monday, July 14 for weeks 9 and 10. Credits cannot be applied for changes made after this deadline. Please see the pdf document below for detailed class descriptions in all age groups and for additional information. You may send your registration forms via mail, fax, or bring them in to: 2600 Summit Ave., Waukesha, Fax: (262) 547-2715

Pre-Children's House

(Ages 2-3) Potty training is not required to enroll in this program and options exist for two (T/R), three (M/W/F) and five-day attendance. The morning work cycle (9:00 to 12:00 a.m.) includes snack and a variety of activities designed to challenge and reward your child.

Children's House:

(Ages 3-6) Consistent with the Montessori philosophy, the curricula are prepared for the various levels of development of each child. Classes are held in multi-age rooms where the younger child experiences the subject of focus on a more sensorial level. Each week includes stories, songs, food preparation and creative works among other activities like running through the sprinkler. The program provides opportunities to continue working on grace and courtesy, sharing and problem solving.

Montessori Children's House Classroom:

Separate from the weekly themes in Children's House, four sessions are available for your child to be in a Montessori-prepared environment. This classroom is specifically designed with opportunities for lessons and use of Montessori materials in math, language, and sensorial areas. The practical life and cultural areas will offer an enriched focus on cooking, music, science, and art. Outdoor activity will also be incorporated daily, weather permitting. You must make a two-week commitment.

Session 1: June 16 - 27

Session 2: July 7 - 18

Session 3: July 21 - August 1

Session 4: August 4 - 15

Lower Elementary:

For students entering first through third grade. Mornings include exploration in the classroom while afternoons feature a variety of athletic activities such as swimming twice per week on Mondays and Wednesdays. Math and Language Enrichment will also be offered to students enrolled at MSW in the fall from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m. (you must select consecutive days for this program to be effective).

Upper Elementary/Adolescent:

For students entering fourth through eighth grade. Unlike Children's House and Lower Elementary, it is recommended to register for the entire week due to the nature of the classes. Combined with Lower Elementary, each afternoon will feature a variety of athletic activities, including swimming twice per week on Mondays and Wednesdays.

School is closed the weeks of June 30 and August 25. The following is an overview of courses offered for the 2008 Summer Day Camp Program:
